House Update

Well, we did finally close on everything last Friday...what a HUGE relief! While the closing costs made us almost keel over, at least it's done! We are behind schedule, however our schedule was EXTREMELY aggressive. Ben's been working hard on getting the drainage systems set up around the foundation this week. He's done a wonderful job as usual! He and Bill also got a lot of sawing done today on the boards for our lumber for floors and cabinets, as well as getting a few other necessities done. The walls should be poured early next week (supposed to be this week, but delayed due to all the rain we've gotten). After the walls, we'll be stompin it out from there. We'll be on vaca the second week of August to work on stuff all week, so if anyone's interested in helping just let me know! ;-) We're getting more excited with each step!

Also, please continue to pray for the stuff with the lawyers. The new lawyer we used was AWESOME and so great to us. We are really blessed to have had him. We are planning to write a letter to the previous lawyer stating all the issues we had along the way, so we'll see what they do. Hopefully some monetary reimbursement will happen...we could use it! We were told by this lawyer that there really isn't anything cost effective for us to do legally to take up issue with them. It'd cost more in legal fees than what we'd get back.
