We got our certificates in the mail a few weeks ago, then we picked last Thursday as the day to meet and make our delightful dishes. And since our appointment was not until 6pm, we just had to find something to kill the time...so off we went to Christmas Tree Shops! That has to be one of our favorite places to go...good stuff at wonderful prices...a deal-seeking girl's best friend!
After toting our bargains to our cars, we headed over to Cena to get started. Since this was our first trip, the owner gave us a tour of the place and an overview of what to do.
This is the layout of the main portion of the building. Each recipe has its own section that includes a cooler for the meat and chilled ingredients, a counter top for assembly, and various ingredients in the chilled portion or on the shelf. There are also step-by-step directions on the shelf (which even include what kind of equipment to use). The equipment you need to mix up the lovely creations is on bakers racks that are placed throughout the room. And the best part -- you don't even have to clean up after yourself! You simply leave stuff on the counter and they take care of it for you!

This is me making crunchy ranch chicken! Yum! I also make chicken ravioli with a white wine sauce and london broil. (We had the london broil tonight and it was good! Even Ben, who can be particular about beef enjoyed it!)

This is Jess making her SanteFe chicken. It looked very yummy!

Our finale picture...we needed a good one when we still had our aprons on!
We had lots of fun making our meals and it was so easy too! We're thinking to do this again...perhaps at Make and Take. I wonder what kind of deals we can find for that place!? I feel blessed to have a good friend to do this with and a good husband to help me eat the yummy meals! This is me making crunchy ranch chicken! Yum!
